I read the first book (this title minus “Another”) last summer. I’m a crazy cat lady, so it touched my heart and soul.
Gratuitous cat shots (Osiris on left, Horus on right):

There’s a pretty magical mental health clinic in Japan called The Kokoro Clinic for the Soul that appears for people when they need it. I totally loved the first book. It made me laugh and cry. This one did too. I was sobbing near the end. The first book was definitely better, but I thoroughly enjoyed going back to the clinic in this book.
Each human who finds the clinic gets prescribed a cat. The cat is treated by the “doctor” as medicine – take the cat as prescribed for ten days, etc. This book has a few stories with a few different people who are prescribed cats. The cats themselves sound really cute, and they do what they need to do to heal the humans. Some people need different cats to solve their problems because the first cat did what it needed to, but there was more work. I love how these books bring out the magic of having a pet. You can tell the author knows and loves cats, because they very clearly appreciate cats and their magical qualities. Four stars. I rounded up for the love of cats.
