Thank You, Snow (Thank You, World) by Dan McCauley and Jo Loring-Fisher
(due late January 2026, read via an online reader).
The illustrations are both supporting and are their own characters in this sweet story of being in the moment. And that is basically all I want to say. This is a simple book, good for the younger reader as it is a board book. But the early reader (with help or solo) could read as well. Overall, it is good. Nice. I cannot shout “Best book ever!” But I will read it again. I will be recommending it to people.
I like the diverse nature of things.I like how it is familiar as I grew up with snow. But I also like that it is set in the city and not the town setting I grew up in. I like that even if you do not know snow (either by never seeing it, or are currently not living within it) you can enjoy it as well. There is just “niceness” to it. I like the classical looking elements to the illustrations. I like that it has a Jack Keats look to it. I like that it is warm and cozy.
Part of the Thank You, World series this is the newest addition to them, which includes Thank You, Sun (Thank You, World); Thank You, Rain (Thank You, World) and Thank You, Night (Thank You, World). They will be perfect to add to your collection and to give as gifts (baby showers, first birthdays and more).
