Not going to lie, this was really good. I started reading it and couldn’t put it down. I wish I had started this before some of my other books sitting in my get to finish by 2025 pile. I like all of the characters, the bits that take some time to fit, and the various POVs we get actually work in this one. And I thought the ending was so solid. I was worried at first it was going to end on some weird cliffhanger, but we get a satisfying conclusion.
Don’t Let Him In follows a young woman named Ash who is left reeling from the sudden murder of her father. She’s back home living with her mother after the incident and about a year later is trying to deal with the fact that her mother is dating a man who knew her father when he was younger. The man, Nick feels too good to be true and though Ash is still left having to deal with her past and when her family had cause to not believe her, she knows there is something off with Nick. The book follows Ash as she investigates Nick. We get various POVs in this one (no spoilers) but eventually everything comes together and you just have to enjoy the ride and wonder how is everything going to work out.
