Hi! I’m going to need you all to go read this series so that I can get more books! I need a fully radicalized (corrupted? No, he can’t be corrupted, he must be radicalized) Rian. I need a Strom Fedor meltdown. I need more of Ada stealing things right under everyone’s noses. Maybe Strom Fedor can also die in a cheese explosion. I just need more stories in the Chaotic Orbits series. To clarify, no Last Chance to Save the World does not end on a cliff hanger. The heist, as far as we know it, is complete. But the door is left open for so many more shenanigans and I need them.
If you have not read Full Speed to a Crash Landing and How to Steal a Galaxy get yourself to a library or other place you acquire books. If you enjoy audiobooks, get those! Dara Rosenberg does the bulk of the narration and she is fantastic. She makes Ada sharp and funny with that rage burbling underneath. She’s letting you in on the secret, but just a little bit until she can excitedly explain the plan. David Bendena’s narration as Rian comes in at the beginning and end. He is so frustrated and so enraptured. He has it bad and has no idea how to handle any of it.
I really can’t talk about much without spoilers, so I will say, this installment takes place mostly on Earth. Ada has convinced Rian that Strom Fedor has nefarious plans for the nanobots, and he has agreed to help her access Fedor’s headquarters. He also plans to arrest Ada for her various crimes. Good luck with that!
The audiobook version of Last Chance to Save the World was a fun listen and I am delighted to have a full set of the hardback novellas on my shelf.
I received this as an advance listener copy from Dreamscape Media and NetGalley. My opinions are my own, freely and honestly given.
