Look, they can’t all be great literature. Sometimes I’m bored and scrolling Kindle Unlimited and I see a sexy cover model who I recognized from Sara Cate’s upcoming book, Highest Bidder, and the silly title intrigues you enough to read it. STOP JUDGING ME!
Mina is a twenty-something girl, and that is pretty much her entire personality. Her father is getting remarried to a former classmate of hers, which she finds a little icky, but she is happy that her Dad seems to be happy. At her father’s wedding, she meets Carter, a silver fox, who she immediately has chemistry with. They go back to his hotel room and have a lot of sex. A few days (and sexy texts later) Mina is surprised when Carter shows up for a family dinner. Because he is her new Stepmother’s Dad. AWKWARD! Mina’s Stepmother is kind of a bitch, and Mina’s Dad and Carter stand up to her. Mina and Carter stay together and have a bunch more sex. The End.
Yes, I did give away the whole plot, because it was non-existent. I would have rated this book higher if the smut was better, but the author kept using the term “stalk” to describe a penis and it made me throw up in my mouth a little.
