The end of an era but not really

My Hero Academia Vigilantes, vols. 14-15 by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Betten Court

January 7, 2024 by CoffeeShopReader Leave a Comment

My Hero Academia Vigilantes is a side series, and it’s just wrapped up.  The main series is apparently in the process of winding up its final story but who knows how long that takes. The final two volumes of vigilantes show  the conclusion of the final epic battle and hints at the not too distant futures for those who survive (mostly). Maybe I’ll have to keep going with this a while longer

Blue Exorcist vol 25 by Kazue Kato

March 14, 2021 by CoffeeShopReader Leave a Comment

So I was getting ready to give up on Blue Exorcist on account of it getting borderline maudlin which is pretty bad in combination with upping the ‘drama’ to some pretty dark yet soap-opera-esque levels. I’m actually pretty sure I may have skipped a volume, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t miss much. It’s probably just as well because it looks like things are finally turning a corner with a lot of the things that were turning me off on the series. The basic story […]
