I won’t bite, unless you ask really nice, but these insects might!

Please Don't Bite Me! : Insects that Buzz, Bite and Sting by Nazzy Pakpour

August 16, 2023 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

Please Don’t Bite Me! : Insects that Buzz, Bite and Sting is actually more of a 3.5  than four rating as there are a few illustrations that were somewhat abstract. The first one was the mosquito being shown biting  a victim. The body, head, and everything else did not look real, therefore, it all blended together. The text, on the other hand, is good. I’m hooked on these books

Obsessive About Octopuses, by Owen Davey

Curious About Crocodiles by Owen Davey

May 12, 2022 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

Each piece of information is presented to be educational and fun. I have found probably one of my new […]

Penguins!

Passionate about Penguins (About Animals) by Owen Davey

May 11, 2022 by BlackRaven Leave a Comment

Passionate about Penguins (About Animals) is a really cool book. The text by Owen Davey shows that they know their subject, know how to present it to keep your attention on said subject and knows how to make you want to know more. As an adult I was learning things and wanting to save all sorts of facts and was laughing about some of the more humorous elements. And there were POOP facts! If you have read any of my reviews you know that I […]
