I want to thank my fellow ‘ballers for bringing this book to my attention. I work in museums, and I have two conferences this month in Philadelphia. After reading Schmookaria’s review, I ran right over to Amazon and picked this up.  And I enjoyed every minute of it! A Giant In His Field

A well-known quote by British writer L.P. Hartley goes “The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.” Nowhere is this more evident than in the field of medicine, where advances in technology and technique arrive at dizzying speed.
