I’m really glad I read this series. It was fluffy and cute and didn’t have too much angst in it (although still a little too much for my tastes). But the first book really was the highlight. I felt the second one was too slight, and though this one had more weight to it (with Lara Jean facing graduation and moving on from everything she’s always known), it still wasn’t as satisfying as the simplicity and cuteness of the first book. My daughter is 14, and all of sudden this year I couldn’t go 6 seconds without hearing the words “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.” I think she watched it on Netflix 50 times with her friends. I fell completely in love with the Netflix film adaptation of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and immediately sought out the novels it was based on. To my horror, although not surprise, there was a mile long wait list at the library and the trilogy was sold out at Barnes & Noble.
