I liked this book, a lot. I got the audio version from the library read by Scully herself. She’s very very good, which surprises none of us. This book takes place in the world, with involvement in Haiti and Tehran and Antarctica. The characters are diverse and Anderson carries their accents with skill and subtlety. Let’s just get this first thing out in the open. For the rest of her life, Gillian Anderson will always first and foremost be Special Agent Dana Scully, FBI. And just so we’re clear, there are definitely worse things she could be associated with. I was totally batshit obsessed with The X-Files back in the day.
