The Birth Partner is one of several birth/pregnancy/baby books I’m reading. This one focuses on the role of the birthing partner. As the birthing partner, I found the perspective refreshing. I’d recommend to any expecting birthing partner. There was a heavy emphasis on Doulas which was wasted on me as we didn’t plan on having a Doula, but it’s easy to identify those parts and skip them if they’re not relevant.

The Expanse expands on what it got right

Caliban's War by James S. A. Corey

I listened to Caliban’s War on Audible. First things first, the performance was fantastic. If you’re into audiobooks, I highly recommend this one. As for the story, I found Caliban’s War to be superior to Leviathan Wakes in part because of the superior cast. It replaces the cop-talk/narrative (not my favorite troupe) with politics, which I found to be an amazing improvement. The addition of Chrisjen Avasarala was a superb upgrade.
