Book Gifts are the Best Kind of Gifts

December 6, 2015 by MsWas 2 Comments

Many thanks to scootsa1000 for Diana Gabaldon’s Outlandish Companion, Volume Two. I can’t wait to read it! Big thanks to @scootsa1000 for my #cbr7 #giftexchange! I <3 it!!!! A photo posted by @mswas on Dec 5, 2015 at 8:47am PST And if you’re an Outlander fan and have not read the first volume, I highly recommend it. It covers the first three books, so make sure you’re past that point before you read it, to avoid any spoilers.

Email me or post below your top favorite book and one stinker reviewed in #CBR7 for a post I’m compiling for Pajiba to run at the end of the year. Oh all right, send me your top 3 favorites, and 1 crappy book. Please include for each: book title book author link to your review on the group blog Deadline is 12/18.

We Did It! Donation Goal Achieved

December 2, 2015 by MsWas 2 Comments

Hooray, we did it! Or rather, YOU did it! You all donated over $180 to Cannonball Read, and now our website hosting fees for 2016 are paid for! But wait, there’s more! You can still contribute to help Cannonball Read! Any money received through our Paypal that exceeds the hosting charges is earmarked for future hosting bills, so you’d still be helping CBR keep going. To do so, head to Paypal and make a gift to mswas@cannonballread.com. Thank you very much!

Help Keep Cannonball Read on the Road

December 1, 2015 by MsWas 17 Comments

It’s Giving Tuesday, a day where we can recover from all the crazy spending and shopping after Thanksgiving, and take a moment to give back. So I’m passing the virtual hat and asking you to consider contributing a few dollars to help with the costs of running the blog. We’ve got big plans for Cannonball Read 8, but as we grow, we’ll need more funds for website hosting. We always pay our website hosting bills first out of any revenue from our fundraising efforts, and […]
