Back already with more romance (I swear I read other things, but right now it’s just allowing some great zen). My sister, having read all of the Pennyroyal Green series that’s published, suggested that I start with this one, number 8, because it’s one of the best while being easy enough to follow the subplots. It now is one of my favorites! It’s the story this time of Jonathan Redmond (one of Violet’s brothers) and Thomasina de Ballesteros (Tommy), a beautiful young lady of questionable background. […]
Another romance with a high seas adventure
So my wonderful sister, who I now live near, and not 3,000 miles apart from is an avid romance reader as well. Therefore with our ability to now see each other regularly we are swapping recommendations as fast as we can. Also we talk about romance characters as though they’re real people. Are we strange? Maybe. Are we awesome? Absolutely! And thanks to my sister I started reading the Pennyroyal Green series by Julie Anne Long (out of order, as I just read them by […]
A romance, but with a cross dressing twist
So I’ve been on the road a lot for work this month. And by a lot I mean, over half the month of January, with more plane flights than I’d care to count. This means an endless loop of romance series downloaded from my charming library. But after having read 15 romances in January alone all but my favorites are blending together. I’ve decided to take a favorite or two from each series I’m reading and comment on them, because I can only say generic […]
Starting the year reading a lot of romance!
To start off 2015 reading right I started with my favorite genre! Also I spent the first two weeks of the year traveling for work so I needed something light and delicious (and lightweight, go library kindle downloads!) After doing abysmally actually writing up my reviews last year (I read 67 books, but only wrote ~11 reviews. Terrible.) One of this years resolutions is to get my bum in gear. And I’m only 6 books behind! Anyways… A Week to be Wicked by Tessa Dare, […]
Wooooooo! Books!
Thanks ModernLove! I got this a couple of weeks ago, during a really crummy week, and these lovelies just made it so much better! I read Anna and the French Kiss that Friday night, and it was exactly what I needed! Stephanie Perkins knows how to write a book to make one happy. Thanks! Now I just hope my books I sent to Norway make it someday… And thanks Katie for organizing the exchange. It was such a great Christmas surprise!
#11 Mediocre teen dystopian blah I get bored again already
I found out about this series thanks to CBRV I believe, and finally got around to reading the first one now. It’s the start to yet another dystopian teen romance drama etc of monumentally generic proportions. It’s the story of Aria and Peregrine, a dweller and an outsider respectively, who must join forces and win the day. It was incredibly mediocre. I listened to it as an audiobook from the library, and I can happily say I’m very pleased I didn’t spend any money on […]
