Princess Aisling is excited for her eighteenth birthday. She’s not expecting to be attacked in her own bedroom and kidnapped or to find out that she’s a changling. Forget-Me-Not, the princess she was switched at birth with, has a plan that she needs Aisling in order to complete. As the two of them journey together, a friendship and maybe something more begins to develop. But the real question is, what sort of future exists for either of them and how do you determine who you are?
This is a fun graphic novel perfect for any teen who likes cozy fantasy. The story is engaging and goes in some surprising directions. I love how Aisling’s character grows without losing the core of herself. While she looses her confidence at times, Aisling relying on who she sees herself as is one of the keys of the story. I also really love the Fae world that’s created in the story. The art is a great complement and really fits the story overall. It’s a fund read with a satisfying ending. Four out of five stars.
