Now, he probably did not want to be considered perverted and he guessed a lot as a face, but I know a butt when I see it (then again, I am short so I have seen my share of butts). Yet, I played along (remember I have been a physical adult for over several decades, him a couple decades longer), “Seriously Dad? This picture book is as informative as it is funny. I laughed so hard I had to read three more times to make sure I got it all. Due to the set up of each page, you can adapt this book to various ages. You just look at the images, then expand to the text, finally the extras are for the older readers. I had a physical reader copy, and skimmed it at first (just guessing butt or face) and then read the text (I then skimmed another time to see where I missed the clues). There is a good amount, but as said, it can be broken down to fit the age you are dealing with. The illustrations are photographs, but there are some fun “side designs” too. There are also several extras.
If you’re mentally a kid (like you know I am) you will get a kick out of guessing “butt or face”! Okay, so it is not going to be for everyone, but if you forget that there is this giant butt joke throughout the book, it is really a great scientific book. Yes, there are spiders, frogs, insects, and a star-nosed mole (shiiiiiiver!!!!) so there are a few “not favorite” animals” but overall it is a delightful time.
