Have you ever “let the cat out of the bag?” I am sure we all have once or twice in our lifetime. But in You Let the Cat out of the Bag! (Understanding Idioms) by Cynthia Amoroso, we learn more of these sayings, the meaning of them and even the possible history to them (the less than honest butcher would instead have given the ordered pork to the customer, would have put a cat in a bag instead). Also included, is a glossary (plus other additional information) for some of the concepts presented. I only had 26 pages in the sample I read, but I am assuming it was mostly complete, or at least I had a good sample for an educated review.
