The year was 2014. The year we cured cancer. The year we cured the common cold. And the year the dead started to walk. The year of the Rising.
The year was 2039. The world didn’t end when the zombies came, it just got worse. Georgia and Shaun Mason set out on the biggest story of their generation. They uncovered the biggest conspiracy since the Rising and realized that to tell the truth, sacrifices have to be made.
Now, the year is 2041, and the investigation that began with the election of President Ryman is much bigger than anyone had assumed. With too much left to do and not much time left to do it, the surviving staff of After the End Times must face mad scientists, zombie bears, rogue government agencies-and if there’s one thing they know is true in post-zombie America, it’s this:
Things can always get worse.

And here we are at the end. Surprise! George is alive. Or a clone of her with all her memories is. How convenient! Did you know the CDC can clone people and program the clones to be biddable? Also they are blackmailing the president with his family’s safety. BUT as soon as our intrepid heroes find out about the blackmail, they literally snap their fingers, say “We’ll stop this!” And then it’s all fine.
Okay, there are some more details. But not many. This is not a well-thought out plot. Plus, Sean continues to be annoying, and he and George when reunited basically only care about each other, ADMITTING that they could give a fuck about all of their employees and friends/family. Becks gets such a raw deal in this book. #justiceforbecks.
Sorry, this is more of a rant about my annoyances with the book while referencing things that don’t make sense unless you’ve read it (and even then it’s iffy) then a review. Suffice to say it wasn’t a good book. It didn’t do justice to the characters or previously well written plot of Feed. It’s not worth it to finish out the series guys.
