I like a fun science book. A book that does not go deep diving into all the ins and outs of a subject. I like to get my feet wet and then see how far I want to explore. And with Do Frogs Drink Hot Chocolate? How Animals Keep Warm I am in the shallow end of the wadding pool. You get your feet wet as an adult, but the aged three and up gets up to their waists, laughing and learning with the best of them.
When it is cold do frogs drink hot chocolate to stay warm? Or do turtles jump up and down? How about, do animals wear leg warmers? You will find out the answers to these questions and more in Etta Kaner’s sweet picture book. Both educational and fun, this book will be a hit for the child who asks questions, likes learning, and wants a good story. The illustrations by John Martz can be seen/judged by looking at the cover. The humor and adorableness are throughout the book. They are simple, but expressive. A companion book Do Lizards Eat Ice Cream? (Which I have not read) is also available.
I found this through an email from the publisher, therefore, I am not sure if it was completed, but what I did see was delightful. I am not OMG BEST BOOK EVER! But I am saying this is something you and your little one should have in your library. I think it might be best read as you are cozy and drinking a cup of hot chocolate yourselves.
PS: I love borrowing images from online; and whomever did this one is a genius!
