What an unexpected delight this book was! I got it in an ARC giveaway through Goodreads, and given everything happening *waves arms at world* I wanted something fluffier then my usual domestic thrillers.
The Secret Bridesmaid is about a woman who started her own business as a for-hire bridesmaid. She pretends to be your best friend, accepts your bridesmaid proposal, and then makes sure your entire wedding goes smoothly from behind the scenes. Then she gets a gig to a very reluctant bride in high society. Hijinks ensue! Romance occurs! Misunderstandings are had and witty banter is made!
This book was a lovely little bit of escapism. It was a fast read, ends happy, has enjoyable characters and decent dialogue and was a perfect diversion.
As a side note, I am in the middle of planning my own wedding and SO GLAD we are not doing anything as nit picky or fancy as ANY of the brides described in the book. My god. I’d lose my mind.
