Let’s be honest here, if you are reading a review about the third book in a trilogy, you already read the series too. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this one. I really enjoyed the series but I can’t help but think that this one was a little rushed. It felt like a very abrupt ending and one that didn’t really go where I thought it would. I generally do not try to predict where I think a book or series is going but this one happened so fast. The part about the emperor’s chambers and the previous emperoxs, I really liked that twist. That made sense to me but I suppose I was a little let down by the burgeoning romance between Grayland and whatshisname (Sorry, it’s late and I read this months ago). I really liked all of the twists and I thought the book stuck the landing but something rubbed me wrong about the speed at which it all happened. Maybe I will try this one again.
