My wife and I watched the show at the beginning of the pandemic, back around April and I really liked it. I was not sure if I would like the show but I usually start watching my wife’s shows halfway through and I start asking questions and she gets annoyed so I sat down with her from the beginning and it was great. The casting was excellent. I added the book to my to-read list before we finished the show and it took nearly six months to become available. The show was very true to the book but I really liked some of the changes to the show. When reading it though, I could only see the actors cast in the roles as the characters which is partly a testament to them. Did the show win any awards? I think only Kerry Washington was nominated but the whole show deserved more award love in my opinion. I can’t review the difference between the show and the book because I don’t remember them any more. I talked about them with my wife after finishing the book and they vanished. I can say that I loved the ethical question behind the main drama. Is there a right answer? I THINK I know what the legal answer is but it is so good because it is not black and white in any way at all. Both the show and the book are good. If doing it again, I think I would still do the show first because it was fun seeing the twists happen.
Another movie/show before the book
