Well, well, well…what a surprise! Ellesfena and I got each other in this gift exchange! At first I was completely confused because it’s been 84 years of me being in my house (or at school teaching) and I don’t know what the outside world is like these days. I am so excited for all three books but particularly Daughter of Smoke & Bone…my son who never reads despite my avid harping on him (that totally works, right?) scuttled away with The Mysterious Benedict Society (don’t worry, I’ll get it back), and well, the Immortalists has been on my list much longer than I care to share. Thanks so much, Ellsfena! I’m sure at some point over this holiday season I will be on my couch reading one of these and hoping that you’re reading one of my gifts –raise your glass (or mug of hot chocolate) and I’ll send you a silent cheers across the states!
I was confused at first too when your gift came! I hope you love Daughter of Smoke and Bone…it’s one of my favorites! Happy holidays!
PS I’ve already finished one of the books you gave me and I’m halfway through another. I love Book Exchange!
That copy of Daughter of Smoke and Bone is sooo pretty. What edition is that?
I think it’s brand new. I had to preorder it from Bookshop. It was released on 12/1.
Ellesfena—thank you SO much for supporting my friend’s local bookstore. I didn’t even check if you had an independent store listed…but I will send another book through them to you, I just needed to get them out so I wouldn’t forget. Btw. I should’ve taken a pic of the wrapping, which was out of this world! But I didn’t know who it was from at the time/I did but I was confused. D’oh!!
