A new year, a new Cannonball, and I’m sticking with what works for me. I kicked off CBR7 with amemoir, so I figure why not go the same route? This was also a gift from my awesome book exchange gifter, who correctly noted I love memoirs of strong, amazing women who do incredible things. A+ job on this one, Teresa. Now, I must admit that I knew nothing about Carrie’s life before picking up this book. I’ve never listened to Sleater-Kinney, and I watched Portlanida once, but it’s really not for me. I think that made me even more interested into see who this woman was and why her story was one that had to be told. After all, we all think our own stories are fascinating and important, but do they all need books written about them? Probably not. This one, however, does.
