A marriage is between two people. And their millions of followers.
Madison March’s life is perfect. And she’ll do anything to keep it that way.
Madison March is the perfect wife, with the perfect family and the perfect life.
She spends her days baking sourdough and picking vegetables from the garden while watching her children play in the fields surrounding her Montana homestead.
Dinner is always on the table for her husband and they end their days sitting on the porch, watching the sun go down.
It’s a life anyone would dream of.
And it’s all a lie.
HEY GUYS. Did you know there’s a burgeoning subsect of domestic thrillers focusing purely on the falsehood of influencer trad wives happening?? I’ll read anything with an unreliable narrator that also skewers that patriarchal bullshit. I’ve read three so far. One, which I will be reviewing shortly, skews more horror, while this and Everyone is Lying to You are more domestic thrillers. This one is definitely my least favorite of three, mostly because it falls into the same trap as a lot of domestic thrillers- too many ending twists of an implausible amount of secret connections. But I’m still a sucker for the reveals that homesteading isn’t all it’s cut out to be and yes, those influencers do all have staff they employ.
These books will have to do until we get the truth and takedown of the Ballerina Farm that we all deserve.
