Moustafa and Special are Couriers, somewhere between regular bike messengers and full blown soldiers-for-hire. They work together out of New York City, often for the anonymous Hot Sauce (so called because he orders takeout five times a day with extra extra hot sauce). They are totally badass, expert in weapons, stunt driving, hand to hand combat and more.
In the first book, they are called on to deliver a biologic, a girl. Now normally that isn’t their thing, having some kind of a moral compass, but they sense that this is different and take the job on. They are to meet the little girl from Nepal at JFK and before you know it, they are in a flat out gunfight with the Triad. They escape with the girl, but have a hell of a time shaking the rest of the Triad gangsters. Once they are safe they set about trying to find out why the Triad, and now the P.L.A., are after her and how they can keep her safe.
In the second book, a deal goes wrong and their wheelman, Ryan is killed. M and S vow revenge and seek to find those responsible. This leads them to upstate New York where they have an epic standoff against an extremely well-armed local militia group.
These books are fun and fast actioners, with off beat characters and plenty of violence, car chases, gun fights, knife fights, girl on girl fights, RPG’s taking down attack helicopters in midtown Manhattan and more. Just check your brain at the door and enjoy the ride.
