In this collection of The Goon, Franky and the Goon go after Fishy Pete, who has been howling for blood ever since the Goon chopped off his remaining arm and leg. Pretty soon they are knee deep in all manner of evil fish.
“Ain’t it the bee’s knees ta hear fish skulls crackin’ against the finest machine-tooled chrome-plated pipe wrench 1932 technology had to offer!”
Even though they prevail, they still have the nameless man, the zombie priest to contend with. The Goon has confined him and his horde of zombies to Lonely Street but, the zombie priest has other ideas. He has found a way to recover the memories of the G-man the Goon killed for knowing the secret of Labrazio. As he plots his next move, the man known as The Buzzard comes to town and he ain’t happy. Years before the zombie priest put a hex on him and made him a living man who must eat the flesh of the dead to survive. That would piss me off, too. Other stories feature the Saint (Santa Claus as you’ve never seen him befor) and the bizzarist Drakston Entity. Throughout, there’s always lots of blood, gore, zombies, humor and the strangest characters known to man. The artwork has this eye-popping muscle and grace. Interspersed with fake ads for such mail order items as the Billy Lobotomy Kit and a comic starring the Atomic Rage, who has a radioactive brain. Come git some, if you know what’s good fer ya!
