I read a lot of Dean Koontz and Stephen King in middle school/high school aka the mid to late nineties. And I have found that while most King books are extremely re-readable and hold up well, the same cannot be said of Koontz. Books I remember fondly from my teenage years are schmaltzy and full of meandering philosophies now. It’s sad. It’s a shitty part of growing up.
That being said, I totally want to watch that movie!
