You know what you’re getting into with a new Stephanie Plum mystery and that’s okay.
This time Stephanie has been hired by a local jewelry store owner to find a thief with a missing tray of diamonds. But there’s also another potential thief and more missing jewelry. Of course there’s more to the story. Also Stephanie is dog-sitting for her boyfriend who’s in Miami. And of course there are more bounties out there hunt. The usual cast of supporting characters is here up to their usual tricks as well.
I love Stephanie Plum. You can pick up any one of the books in the series in any order and have a fun, silly afternoon of reading. You can go back to the beginning and read them in order, relaxing to the soothing, familiar rhythms of each book. I just want to find out what color Lula has dyed her hair this time. I want to check in on Grandma Mazur and whether she’s been banned from the funeral home yet. Will Stephanie choose between Ranger and Morelli this time (hahahahaha)?
If you are familiar with the Stephanie Plum mysteries, Dirty Thirty is a good one! If you’ve never read one, Dirty Thirty is a fine first one to check out. You will not be confused but you will be amused. Also probably craving donuts!
