This time we follow Freya and her friend Monica (the person who runs into Frey’s office (the basement of an old house no longer standing) at the end of book one, as they learn an important clue to the history of the town. There is one long, connected story and not several shorter ones. Since we are picking up where we left off in book one (well after a quick flashback to 1939), you need to have read book one to understand some of the things happening. This time, as we follow our clever sleuth, Freya, as they pick up some old and new friends (some a little less lively than others) we learn why the town is most assuredly, haunted. And of course, since this is the town of Feral (and it is weird, scary, spooky, and queer AF!) they get into mischief, mayhem, trouble and learn it is not just spooky looking around the corner, it is down right dangerous around every corner!
