This is the second book in Briana Michaels’s Next Level series. However, each book is a standalone novel, so read them in whatever order you want, IF YOU ARE A PSYCHO.
Flip tells the story of Trey, Glitch’s best friend, and Erin, Glitch’s sister. The story starts with Trey and Erin fooling around, and they have been for a long time. They have kept this a secret for several reasons. First, they don’t want to upset and confuse Erin’s young son, Bug, who looks at Trey as a sort of father figure. What if they had a relationship and it didn’t work out? Bug would be devastated. Second, they are scared shitless of how Glitch would react. Would he be pissed off enough to alienate Trey?
Trey is absolutely head-over-heels for Erin, but she is the one who is hesitant to start an actual relationship. Who can blame her? The last relationship she had blew up in her face when she got pregnant. The father walked out of her and her son’s life before he was even born and never looked back. Of course she’s going to have abandonment issues and be overprotective of her son’s exposure to potential father figures. What confuses the matter even more is that Trey is already a big part of Bug’s life and Erin doesn’t want to upset that in any way, not even for her own happiness.
This book did a really good job of showing how much single parents sacrifice for their children. Erin is truly a good mother, but as I said in the title, single moms deserve sexy times too!
