A big thank you to Dome’Loki for these awesome books! I’ve had my eye on Six of Crows for a while now. My students have devoured it and keep telling me I need to read. I’ve also had adults give it rave reviews. Gideon the Ninth recently came on my radar when my sister-in-law recommended it to me. It sounds like it’s going to be different from what I normally read, but I’m always excited to read something new, especially when others have read it and can vouch for it. I’m looking forward to reading these over Christmas or as part of Cannonball Read 13! Thanks, Dome’Loki!
Can’t wait to read your review of Gideon the Ninth, whether it’s for this year or CBR13. I haven’t read Six of Crows, but I guess that’s one more for the TBR.
Yes! Another Gideon out there in the world!
You’re very welcome, The Chancellor! Be aware, once you get sucked into the Grishaverse through “Six of Crows”, if you want to go forward in the world setting, you’ll have to go backwards to read the Shadow and Bone trilogy, which came first. “Six of Crows” and “Crooked Kingdom” are a standalone duology but are technically in the middle of the over all story arc being told in the Grishaverse. But that just means more books to explore!
I hope Gideon lives up to the hype for you. It’s on my family Christmas wish list, so here’s hoping I get it too 🙂
