We all have those books that are so uninspiring that we can’t find 250 words to say about them – not even if we have the back of book blurb to add. We didn’t love them, but we also didn’t hate them. They were books we read and now we have nothing to say.
Most recently Lisa Kleypas’ Chasing Cassandra was that book for me. It was fine. Other people enjoyed it more. Some people probably hated it. The only reason I remember one of the main character’s names is because it’s in the title. Anyway, I read it. I could not review it.
This is the post where you tell us about the books you can’t summon the energy to review. Is it haunting you? Do you feel some obligation to review it before moving on? Are you horrified by someone else’s apathetic reaction to a book you loved/hated?
Tell us in the comments. And remember, you don’t have to review every book you read (we call it review amnesty). Some of them don’t deserve it.
