Father’s Day is around the corner. And while I do not remember getting books for my dad, books are always a great gift for Father’s Day. What better way to celebrate Dad with a book that child and Pop can read together?
And with Good Dad Diego we get a straight forward story with a few funnies about a dad dog. Diego wants to be a Good Doggie Dad and he is. Even though it means telling his kids not to poop on the floor, chew the furniture or eat cat barf. And though sometimes he must lay down the paw, uh… law, he always does it out of love.
shows that the hardest job is not that of being a ninja or a king, but that of being a dad. But that it is also one rewarding job.If you are, great, but I am not really a dog fan. Especially not of pugs. Oh sure, I missed my sister’s pug when it went to the big kibble bowl in the sky, even if I did not miss her poo-poo breath (the dog, not my sisters) or the little presents she left (again dog, not sister) but no, I am not getting a pug. But when I saw that photograph of that smushed up face and those droopy eyes, I knew someone would want to get this book. If you love dogs, if you like funny stories, if you like something different to add to your collection, this will be the book.
