I read This Can’t Be Happening at Macdonald Hall! because it was a Christmas present from my uncle. It looked interesting.
It is the story about two friends who are foolish and are put into two different dorms at school. They are stuck two most annoying students in school and they will suffer nothing until they get into the same dorm.
The main characters names are Bruno and Boots. Their headmaster aka The Fish, Elmer Drimsdale and George Wexford-Smith III. Elmer is a science geek. George is the guy who knows everything about economics.
Eventually the Prime Minister of Canada’s son floats into the yard on a balloon. Elmer thinks it’s a UFO, but they are already calling the Prime Minister to come and get him. In the end, they are put back into the same dorm. Boots’s last words to George Wexford-Smith III are, “You know those pranks that I pulled? IF I had the chance, I’d do all of them again.”
I loved the book because it was silly and showed that there may be a boss, but there is always a boss for the boss. I think Gordon Korman’s books are great. I am reading Toilet Paper Tigers now and it is good.
Ewandini is Mrs. Julien’s 8 year old son and she typed the review for him.
